Barranquilla's carnival has been an inspirational journey of self identity and understanding of my hometown's culture and unique diversity, through the voices of folklore, creative expression, and tradition. To observe, enjoy, and immerse myself among the voices of carnival is to be there, to live in the moment and to let it embrace me.  

 

Spirits are alive, rejoicing for a day without worries, nothing matters more than being there and being part of the moment. A day to be your true self. Carnival reflects the chaotic and often surreal nature of life off the Colombian Caribbean coast.
